Dining with the Danforths

Crumbl Cookie Company

Although the holidays are over, we are still on our cookie kick. We recently loaded up and made a special trip to Lake Mary, FL. This quaint little town is home to one of the absolute best cookie shops in the US. Of course, when we heard this news, we had to check it out.

“Crumbl” was established in 2017 in Logan, Utah by two cousins. They spent countless hours and dollars trying to create the perfect cookies. With the combination of a tedious approach of swapping out one ingredient at a time, and grassroots taste testing (taking cookies to gas stations and asking patrons which was their favorite) they eventually created the perfect cookie recipe.

Their menu is ever-rotating, but they do keep warm chocolate chip and chilled sugar cookie as a daily offering. They have over 120 specialty flavors that rotate weekly. All locations have an open-concept kitchen, which takes the experience beyond just being delicious. This also awakens your senses with the sweet aroma of fresh baked goodies. We were able to watch as the cookies were being made. It is almost mesmerizing to see every step that goes into these delectable creations.

The day we visited, the menu consisted of chocolate chip, sugar cookie, egg nog, birthday cake, Reeses cup, and Oreo. We tried them all! Some cookies were soft and warm, while others were chilled and chewy. One of Brian’s very favorite combinations is cookies and ice cream, and Crumbl did not disappoint. As if this place couldn’t get any better, they also have a rotating ice cream menu. We chose the Biscoff Cookie flavor, and it was amazing.

The staff was so kind and helpful, making this a very enjoyable and pleasant experience for us. This cookie shop is only in select cities (visit their website crumblcookies.com to find all of their locations). Be advised, their site will make your mouth water. The good news is if you are not near one of their locations, they will ship directly to you!
