As the weather begins to change, we get to experience the leaves transforming from green to bright yellow, warm orange, and crisp red. The air produces a sweet aroma, and crunchy foliage covers the ground. Something about this time of year makes us want to cozy up under a blanket around a fire with loved ones. Whether it be pumpkin carving, hay rides, or visiting apple orchards, fall offers a vast array of activities for all ages. It can also bring forth the desire for a change in food and drink. Instead of watermelon and lemonade, we may now find ourselves craving something like hot cider and chili or soup.
While currently we may not be able to gather with everyone we love this year, social distancing and proper sanitizing can help us continue to partake in these activities in new ways. However, many people are choosing to still avoid the crowds by staying in the comfort of their own homes. Whether we are enjoying the holidays and cooler weather with close family, or we’re catching up via video call, one thing remains- we can still enjoy each other’s company paired with the perfect fall drink.
While oranges are typically viewed as a summer fruit, their cousin- the blood orange is only in season during the winter and early spring months. This is why it makes the ultimate ingredient for a winter drink. If you prefer to go the non-alcoholic route, check out our Blood Orange Basil Mocktail.

If you choose to partake in some spirits to get you in the spirit (see what we did there?) our Apple Cider Sparkle is the way to go.
